We
have a wonderful organic greenhouse and garden on the outskirts
of San Cristóbal de Las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico. We have received over
500 volunteers since the year 2000 whom have come to share or learn
about organic gardening and living as sustainable as possible with
our environment. Current projects are constructing new composting
toilets and solar showers. We foster a family-type setting where
everyone helps with a bit of everything. We cater to individuals
and families who thrive on sharing with our indigenous neighbors
as well. We are animal lovers and currently have 2 dogs, 2 cats
and 4 kittens and worms. Yes, we've recently added worms to our
menagerie! Their manure is twice as efficient as our regular compost
and the compost tea they provide is the best organic insecticide
we've found. Our neighbors have horses, pigs, ducks, chickens, and
geese. We also teach both Spanish and English lessons using the
highly effective and very fun TPRS method. We ask that your visit
be a minimum of 1 week, but are equipped for long-term stays as
well. Just click below to write us for more details. |
